Hello friends and Happy New Year!

I hope you've all had a great start to your 2015. I am probably going to be writing 2014 for awhile (and then swearing and erasing/backspacing a lot) but I'm excited for this fresh new year and looking forward to seeing what it will bring.

I have one big show coming up to tell you about:

Freight & Salvage is a pretty special venue. It is a beautiful East Bay spot to hear live music with amazing sound in a cool, modern/rustic setting. I used to go to the old location - which James says was like "an AA meeting" (I think because they had folding chairs, it was always freezing, and coffee was served in paper cups) - and be amazed that I could finally see some of my favorite artists up close, on a small, intimate stage. You still get all of the intimacy of the performances at the newer location but you get to be comfortable and you don't freeze your buns off. I think the coffee still comes in paper cups though!

This will be a full band show (Melissa Phillips & The Sincerelys) featuring James DePrato on guitar, Vicente Rodriguez on drums, and Kevin White on bass. Full band shows don't happen very often and this will be the last one for awhile. I'm always so happy when I can pull these fine fellas together to play with me. We'll be sharing a bill with Jessie Bridges and our friends, New American Farmers.

Hope to see you out there!

    -M
